Ludwik Glowacki's book is a monograph devoted to the organization and fights of regular military units in the defense of the capital. The work is based on documents of the "Warsaw" army, Polish and German sources concerning the campaign, as well as on accounts, carefully collected by the Author from participants in the September campaign and the defense of Warsaw, holding positions at various levels of command, from platoon commanders on up.
