Lev Grigorievich Deutsch, also known as Leon Deutsch (Dejcz) (1855-1941) - leader of the Russian and international socialist movement, one of the leaders of Menshevism. In 1884, in Germany, he was arrested as a criminal and handed over to the Russian authorities. A military court sentenced Deutsch to 13 years and four months of hard labor and settlement in Eastern Siberia. In 1901, he escaped via Vladivostok to Munich.
