Banach 49. A collection of historical-patriotic songs by Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz who, in 33 songs, depicted the period from Piast to King Jan III Sobieski. Niemcewicz wrote his work in 1808 - 1810 at the request of the Society of Friends of Learning, of which he himself became president in 1827. Each song is accompanied by a copperplate with a historical scene and a copperplate with notes. At the end is a list of several hundred subscribers of the elite of the time, including Prof. Chopin, Prince Czartoryski and Chancellor Malachowski.
