F. N. Meciszewski (1786-1830) - colonel, engineer. He studied at the Engineering Academy in Vienna. In 1807-1810 he served in the Austrian army, from 1810 in the army of the Duchy of Warsaw. In 1813 he took part in the defense of the Modlin fortress. From 1815 he became a professor of descriptive geo- metrics at the Jagiellonian University. From 1818 to 1830 he was chief of staff of the Corps of Engineers of the Army of the Kingdom of Poland. Killed by the Minister of War, General Hauk, by cadets on the day of the outbreak of the November Uprising (November 29, 1830). Awarded the Order of War Virtuti Militari.
